JANTAMINIAU’s killer heels at the Brooklyn Museum
The exhibition Killer Heels explores fashion’s most provocative accessory.
The diamond dazzled shoes with killer heals designed by Jan Taminiau for the
´Tarnished Beauty´ 2012 Spring summer show are exposed in an exhibition of
the Brooklyn Museum. As fashion statement, fetish object, instrument of
power, and outlet of artistic expression for both the designer and the
wearer, throughout the ages the high-heeled shoe has gone through many
shifts in style and symbolism.
The Brooklyn Museum Presents Killer Heels:
The Art of the High-Heeled Shoe On View September 10, 2014–February 15,
