Jan Taminiau honores the Dutch Royal couple with a fashion show during the water pageant in Amsterdam and introduces his limited edition Postbag collection in the colors of the Argentinian flag.

On April 30, after the Inauguration of King Willem-Alexander the royal family took place in a water pageant where they watched among others the fashion show of Jan Taminiau.

The Dutch designer presented his Poetic Clash Fall Winter 2012 couture collection and as a grand finale a “King’s Couple’ wearing pieces of the “Postbag Collection”.

The Postbag jacket was especially made in a male version with the Dutch flag as well as a female edition with the colors of the Argentinian flag.

In 2009 Queen Máxima opened the Arnhem Fashion Biënnale in a total look of Jan’s Postbag collection. The postbag represents a strong symbolic and romantic value for the designer.

“A postbag has history, it is been used from tax letters to love letters and that’s why I love it, it has a story to tell.”

The limited edition is handmade in the Netherlands.
